Monday, September 3rd is Labor Day and everyone is invited to participate in the annual Saugatuck/Douglas Bridge Walk at 9:30 am, then after returning to the Douglas side of the bridge, continue under the bridge to Wade’s Bayou, or at 10:00 am launch your kayak, canoe, dingy, or paddle board from the Red Dock and paddle under the bridge to the newly-built floating dock, or meet at the corner of Center Street and Lakeshore Drive for a “bike-tilla” along the Beach to Bayou Trail to Wade’s Bayou. The foghorn will blow at 10:00 am to start the “bike-tilla”. A ribbon cutting ceremony and mayoral proclamation at approximately 10:30 am will officially open the new floating dock and the Rosemont Inn will be handing out free ice cream treats and popsicles. All ages are welcome to join in the fun!
