Mission
Statement
The Zoning Board of
Appeals (ZBA) interprets the provisions of the zoning ordinance
when it is alleged that certain provisions are, for example, unclear
or that they could have more than one meaning. When ruling, the
ZBA will insure that its interpretation is consistent with the
intent and purpose of the ordinance. Also, the ZBA can consider
if the situation falls into the variance category (for example,
practical difficulties, unique circumstances, etc.). Additional
information can be found in Article XXIX of the zoning ordinance.
