 The Douglas Downtown Development Authority (DDA) was formed as an arm of local government in January of 1998. Its members consist of area residents and business and property owners in Downtown Douglas. The mission of the DDA is to help promote economic strength for the Village of Douglas and to help secure funding for the improvements of the Downtown area and improve the quality of life for all of Douglas Some of the current projects of the Douglas DDA are: The Douglas Socials. Applications to Secure Grants for road & infrastructure improvements. Pride and Joy, a committee to raise funds to improve the holiday light displays. Improve and enhance the Village of Douglas Website. Improve signs and banners. Secure funds for streetscape, lighting, benches and landscaping. Working with Council on establishing non-motorized paths. Working with Council on Downtown
waterfront improvements. |
